Mekkoihanuus / Pretty dress

Yksi kaikkien aikojen suosikkileimojani on aina vain Inkadinkadoon elegantti mekko. Kuva ei oikeastaan sovellu värittämiseen, mutta toimii upeasti kohokuvioituna kuultopaperille kuten tässä. Suloisen taustapaperin kanssa koristuksia ei juuri tarvita. Osallistun Simon Says Stamp keskiviikkohaasteeseen.

One of my all time favourite stamps is the elegant dress by Inkadinkado! It's not really suitable image for colouring but works excellent heat embossed on vellum like I have now done. It doesn't need much embellishments with the sweet background paper. I enter the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday celebration.

Vaaleanpunaista / Some pink

Cute Card Thursday challenges us to use colour pink this week. I had this beautiful piece of old pink cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder, but the embossing seem to get lost there. I tried to make it more visible by smearing white paint, but the result isn't a success. I embellished it with some half pearls and a vellum butterfly.

Olen ystävältä aikoinaan saanut valmiiksi Cuttlebugilla kohokuvioidun pinkin paperin, mutta kuvio tuntui jotenkin hukkuvan siihen. Yritin korostaa kuviota levittelemällä valkoista akryylimaalia sinne tänne, mutta ei se oikein toiminut. Koristeiksi valitsin puolihelmiä ja kuultopaperista leikatun perhosen. Sataa kukkia / Raining daisies

Hellyttävä Penny Blackin nallukka kukkasateessa on uusimpia leimojani :) Vaikka Penny Blackilta ilmestyy uusia leimasettejä, nämä vanhat puukantaiset miellyttävät entistä enemmän. Kokeilin ensimmäistä kertaa tilkkutäkkiä kuviopaperin paloista, aika hauska siitä tuli. Valitsin kuvaan värit papereista ja kehykseksi pienen kakkupaperin. Osallistun Penny Black and More haasteeseen.

The Raining daisies teddy by Penny Black is one my newest stamps. New stamps are published yearly, but the old wooden stamps look even more endearing to me :) For the first time I tried making patch work of designer paper pieces, I like it quite much. I framed the image with a piece of doily, and coloured the image with watercolour crayons. I enter the Penny Black and More challenge.

Neulomisystävät / Knitty friends

Penny Black Saturdayn kuukausittainen haaste koski tällä kertaa ystväyyttä. Kortistani tuli suloisen vaaleanpunainen Papermanian paperilla ja kukilla, hauska nappikoriste on äitini varastoa. Leimakuva on Penny Blackin, jouluinen A gift for you. Mutta neulominen on ajankohtaista muutenkin kuin jouluna, joten oma leimani teki tuttavuutta mattoveitsen kanssa...

Penny Black Saturday challenge for this month was friendship. I used Papermania products for this card, paper and flower. The decorative strip was made with Memory Box die Tessatina border, and the cute button is from my mothers stash. You may wonder about my image, it is Penny Blacks Christmas stamp A Gift For You. Finally a beautiful knitting themed stamp :) But knitting isn't just for Christmas, so I'm afraid my stamp got acquainted with a craft knife...

Clean & simple sketch #8

Hiljattain vietin askarteluviikonloppua hyvän ystäväni kanssa. Ideoin meille haasteen: valittiin luonnos (vanha Clean & simple stamping blogista) ja leima (Daisy Swing Penny Blackin akryylisetistä), ja tehtiin näillä leima. Kuinka erilaisia kortteja syntyikään!

A while ago I had a craft time with a friend of mine. I arranged us a challenge: we picked a card sketch (an old one from Clean & Simple stamping), and a stamp (Daisy Swing by Penny Black from a transparent set) and made cards. I love how different they turned out to be!

Keksin uutta käyttöä stanssillekin, kun käytinkin sitä kulmien leikkaamiseen. Taustapaperi teki kortistani melko pinkin, mutta ystäväni tekikin raikkaamman kortin.

I ended up making an extraordinary use of my die by cutting corners with it. My card turned out somewhat pink, while my friend had more fresh and summery look.

Harmoniaa / Harmonious card

Tästä kortista tuli kovin mieleiseni. Leimasin Panduron ihanan kuvan ja käsittelin valkoisella kohojauheella. Tuputin vaaleanpunaista Distress mustetta leikattuani sen stanssilla muotoon. Korttipohja on perusvalkoinen, joka sai pilkkunsa kohokuviointitaskusta Cuttlebugilla. Löytyi vielä sopiva nauhakin. Osallistun Creative Knockouts haasteeseen.

I love how this card of mine turned out :) I stamped and embossed the Panduro image with white embossing powder. I die cut it to a shape and coloured with Distress ink and decorated with few halfpearls. The cardbase is simply white and went thourgh my Cuttlebug in a polka dot embossing folder. I even found the perfect ribbon to match the card. So my line is stamp-embossing-die cut in the Creative Knockouts challenge.

Dreamweaver / Toivomuksia

Dreamweaver on söpöin nallekarhuleima Penny Blackin valikoimasta. Niin onnellinen unelmoidessaan korissaan :) Kortista tuli aika pinkki, mutta lisäsin kuvan taakse ruskean tagin ja stanssatun kukan. Osallistun Penny Black and more haasteeseen.

Dreamweaver is my favourite teddy stamp by Penny Black. The little guy is so sweet while daydreaming in a basket. The card turned out very pink, but I added a brown tag behind the image, and die-cut petals to peek behind it. I enter the Penny Black and more challenge.

Neiti Liila / Miss Lilac

Kortin värimaailma lähti siskoni värittämästä Miss Anyasta. Siihen sopi hyvin ihana pala lautasliinaa, niin yksityiskohtainen kuviointi. Kiinnitin lautasliinan päällimmäisen kerroksen kaksipuoleisella teipillä ekoruskeaan korttipohjaan, toivoin värin rauhoittavan korttia. Osallistun the Pink Elephant korttihaasteeseen.

The idea for this card was to use the detailed piece of napkin on the background. Gorgeous image isn't it? I attached the napking with a piece of double sided tape on kraft card, so the kraft calms the card. The image is a Miss Anya by the Greeting Farm, coloured by my sister. I enter the girly girl challenge of the Pink Elephant.

Kukkaketo / Flower meadow

Tämän kortin pääosassa on leikkurilla tehty perhonen, jonka koristelin leimaamalla ja mustettamalla. Löysin sille yhteensopivan paperin ja päätin näyttää paperia mahdollisimman paljon. Lisäsin kuitenkin kuultopaperikukan perhosen alle, ettei se ihan huku taustaan. Osallistun the Pink Elephant haasteeseen.

Anything goes for the Pink Elephant challenge this week, so I'm sharing this butterfly card with you. The butterfly is made with X-cut punch, stamped and coloured with Distress Inks. I found a matching designer paper and let it so as much as possible. I added a vellum flower behind the butterfly so it doesn't drown on the designer paper.

Lintusia / Birdies

Kokeilin vaihteeksi leimakuvan leimaamista suoraan kuviopaperille. Minulla on muutama Distress Marker, ja niistä on apua tällaisissa kokeiluissa. Ne nimittäin säilyttävät värinsä taustapaperista riippumatta. Väritin niillä vähän Stampendouksen puun kukkia ja lintuja. Ihana kakkupaperi on väritetty Distress musteella. Koristeeksi tein leikkkureilla kuvioita eri papereista. Leipurin nauha riittää koristeeksi ja osallistun Stampavien and More haasteeseen.

This time I decided to stamp the image on a piece of designer paper. The easiest colouring is then Distress Markers, as they keep their own colour no matter how your paper is coloured. So I coloured the Stampendous bird image with them. I used Distress Ink to colour the beautiful doily into blue, and punched some decorations for the card. I enter the birthday challenge over the Stampvie and More challenge.

Kukkaneiti / Flower miss

Kortin pääosass on tällä kertaa ihana Neiti Anja, tämä onkin lempileimani hänestä. En tosin ole onnistunut itse leimaa saamaan, vaan tämä kuva on bloginamusta tullut. Väritin kuvan Distress Markereilla ja akvarellikynillä, samoin reunan vihreän paperit ja leikkurilla tehdyt kukat. Perhoset ovat kuvioteippiä. Osallistun Cute Card Thursdayn haasteeseen.

My card today features the beloved Miss Anya by The Greeting Farm. My favourite is this Miss Anya with long hair and flower basket. She is coloured with Distress Markers and watercolour crayons, and I stamped the sentiment on the bottom corner of the image. The paper stips are coloured with Distress Markers too, and the butterflies are a piece of masking tape. I punched some flowers too and enter the Cute Card Thursday challenge.

Romantic hedgehog

Tässä ensimmäisiä kokeilujani Cuttelbugilla. Ostamani Provocraftin pilkkukansio on hieman liian pieni ja korttien alareuna jää ilman koristeluja. Opin kantapään kautta, että jo kohokuvioitua osaa ei voi koneesta vetää läpi, mutta onneksi latistunut kohta on peitettävissä nauhalla. Leimasin Pennyn ihanan siilin suoraan pikkulehtiön ruusupaperille, joka tuo korttiin romanttista tunnelmaa. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Friday ja Penny Black Saturday haasteisiin.

This card is one of my first tries with Cuttlebug. My polka dot embossing folder by Provocraft is too short for my card bases, but I learned I can't put the card through the machine again - it flats some areas. But luckily this time I could cover it up with some ribbon. The ribbon matches the premade little rose paper, on which I stamped the Penny Black hedgehog. The card ended up having romantic atmosphere. Hedgehogs go well with Fussy and fancy Friday challenge this week, and flowery theme is for Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Kolmet kehykset / Three frames

Tällä kortilla kokeilin triple stamping tekniikkaa. Ideana on kuvion jatkuminen valkoiselta pohjalta toiselle kolmista kehyksistä huolimatta. Tämä oli nyt hyvä harjoitus, ensi kerralla tiedän tehdä pienemmät ja tummemmat kehykset, sen sijaan tuo tähtileima kukkien välissä tuli leimattua liian tummalla. Koristeita en korttiin osannut sijoittaa, joten osallistun Cute Card Thursdayn haasteeseen.

This was my first try with triple stamping technique: the idea is the stamped images continuing on white areas despite the two frames between them. The star image was stamped with too dark ink compared to the flower images, also my image could be bigger. Next time I will also try more narrow frames. I enter the clean & simple challenge of Cute Card Thursday.

Ompelua / Sewing card

Yksi lempijuttujani on nukkekotivaatteiden ompelu. Joten ompeluaiheisella kortilla osallistun tällä viikolla Creative Knockouts haasteeseen. Kortti on itse asiassa tehty äidilleni, hän harrastaa ompelua myös. Vanha ompelukone on kohokuvioitu mustalla jauheella ja väritin Cuttelebugilla leikkaamani kuvan distress musteella. Muita setin leimoja käytin taustan tekoon vesileimamusteella ja mittanauhaksi kuvioitu nauha ja napit käyvät sopivat koristeiksi.

One of my favourite things to do is sewing miniature clothing. So sewing is my choice for Creative Knockouts this week. I made this card for my mother, she likes to sew too. I embossed the vintage sewing machine with black, and coloured the piece with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. I used other stamps of the stamp set to create the background with Versamark. Buttons and measuring tape ribbon were so suitable embellishments.

Tämä kortti on tehty eräällä hyvälle ystävälle :) Arvelin hänen pitävän sinisestä, joten valitsin tämän kauniin Upikitin paperin. Leikkasin sen korttipohjaa myötäileväksi ja häivetin reunoja ruskealla musteella. Jämistä sain leikkureilla koristeita korttiin. Penny Blackin siilin väritin ja akvarellikynillä ja tervehdys on Inkadinkadon, tosin muokkasin sitä hieman. Taustaan leimasin Inkadinkadon perhosia ja väritin liituväreillä. Osallistun Penny Black and More haasteeseen.

This card was specially designed for a dear friend :) I had feeling she likes blue so I started with this gorgeous Upikit paper with decorated butterfly images. I cut the paper according to my shaped cardbase and lightly blended the edges with brown ink. I punched embellishments of the scraps. The image is cute hedgehog stamp by Penny Black, and I coloured it with watercolour pencils. The beautiful sentiment is by Inkadinkado, although I stamped 'us' instead of 'me' to make fit this occasion. The chalked butterflies on the cardstock are Inkadinkado stamps too. Only blooms are the ones on the basket of the hedgehog, but I enter the Penny Black and More challenge.

Vaaleanpunaista / Light pink

Joskus kortin tekeminen sujuu yllättävän helposti paineen alla, kun aiemmin hylätty projekti kolahtaa tällä kertaa. Korttipohjan olen leimannut ja musteilla värittänyt jo aiemmin, mutta valmista korttia siitä ei tullut. Vaihdoin kakkupaperin vaaleanpunaiseen ja Miss Anyakin löytyi aiemmin väritetyistä. Koristeeksi riitti pätkä organzaa, kuultopaperiperhoset ja tippa Glossy Accentia Anyan rusettiin. Osallistun tietysti Anyone for Anya haasteeseen.

Sometimes making a card under a pressure is easy, if you can use things made before. I decorated the cardbase before with inks and stamps, but switching the colour of the doily made it work! I also found Miss Anya I had coloured previously, so few embellishments of ribbon and punched vellum shapes worked out very well. I enter the Anyone for Anya challenge.

Kokeilua / Attempting

Kerran kokeilin valmiin kohokuvioidun korttipohjan värittämistä musteilla ja ihastuin! Hankin nipun lisää kohokuvioituja korttipohjia, mutta nämä ovatkin eri merkkiä eikä ollenkaan niin  helppoja värittää musteilla. Tässä yksi kokeilu, laitoin useampaa eri mustetta saadakseni kesän tuntua perhosiin. Kortin kohokohta on quilling -tekniikalla tekemäni kukka, vähän kielon ja kissankellon risteytys. Osallistun Winter Wonderland -haasteeseen.

After this successful card based on a premade embossed cardbase, I was very eager to buy more. But these are of different brand, and I find them harder to colour. So here is one attempt, I gave the embossing several colours to blend it. The focal point is a quilled flower I made. The sentiment means 'congrats' in Finnish. The butterflies go for Winter Wonderland challenge.

Laukkuja, laukkuja / Bags, bags

Winter Wonderland haastaa näyttämään muotiaiheisen kortin tällä viikolla. Tämän kortin tein muuttaneelle siskolleni. Tiimarin teeaiheisen paperikon sivulle väirtin huiviin kietoutuneen Miss Anyan ja jalkoihin toisen Anya setin laukkuja.

This week Winter Wonderland asked for fashion related card. I made this card for my sister, when she moved - it's filled with bags. I added wintery Scarf Anya to a piece of design paper and the bags belong to Anyas too. 

Syntymäpäivänä / On your birthday

Juhlat ovat aiheena Fussy and Fancy perjantaihaasteessa, joten tässä on synttärikortti. Ihana kuva on tietysti Penny Blackin ja toivotus Nea-Idealta. Korttipohjaan piirtelin akvarellikynällä ja laveerasin vedellä, koristeeksi riitti muutama puolihelmi.

Celebrations is the theme for Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge, so here's a birthday card. The adorable image is made by Penny Black. I drew the background with watercolour crayon and blended with water. I added few half pearls and stamped my greeting.

Sininen pöllö / Blue owl

Debbyn inspiroimana loin tämän kortin. Malli on jännä, kätevä tapa käyttää kolmion mallisia jämiä. Paperi on peräisin Tiimarista ja pöllö on Inkadinkadon. Pöllö on koristeltu valkoisella geelikynällä, voin suositella kokeilemaan. Tekstileima on Reprintin tekemä Presentolle. Siivellisiä asioita pyydettiin Cute Card Thursdayn haasteessa.

Inspired by Debby I created this card. The layout is interesting, a way to use triangular left overs. The owl is an Inkadinkado stamp and I decorated it with white gel pen. Try it out, I like the look. Things with wings was asked for Cute card Thursday.
