Joulutähti / Christmas star

SIskoni väritti Whiff of Joyn pojun koristamassa joulukuusta, kehykseksi se sai kultaisen kakkupaperin. Kortti toistaa kuvan jouluisia värejä, ja vihreä kukkaboordi on tehty kuviolävistäjällä. Osallistun Winter Wonderland haasteeseen.

My sister coloured the Whiff of joy boy decorating a Christmas tree, I framed the image with golden doily. The card repeats the colours and the green border is made with a punch. I enter the Winter Wonderland challenge.

Perhonen / Butterfly

Tämä kortti ei itse asiassa ole ihan valmis. Kakkupaperin keskelle tulee 'onnea' tai synttärisankarin numerot, sen päätän sitten kun vastaanottaja on selvillä. Perhonen on valmis tagi, jonka laitoin koholle. Organzanauhassa on lempikoristeeni, joka ihanasti vetää nauhaa suppuun. Osallistun Stampavie and More haasteeseen.

This card isn't actually finished. When I decide the recipient, I will add 'congrats' or numbers to the center of the doily. The butterfly is a premade tag, I lifted it some. The organza ribbon has my favourite embellishment to wrap it together some. I enter the buttefly challenge of Stampavie and More.

Äidille / For my Mother

Tässä on tämänvuotinen äitienpäiväkortti. Inspiroiduin Creativity lehden edellisestä numerosta, en ole kokeillut tällaista kollaasia aiemmin. 'Äiti' on kirjoitettu pahvikirjaimilla, jotka päällystin kauniilla paperilla. Saman lehtiön papereista tein leikkurilla koristeita korttiin. Taustalla oleva kakkupaperi menee tarkoituksella kortista yli, pidän siitä näin. Osallistun the Pink Elephant haasteeseen.

Here's my Mothers Day card this year. This was inspired by Creativity issue #37 by docrafts, I haven't tried this type of collage before. I covered chipboard letters with beautiful pink paper (it says 'mother' in finnish), and punched some embellishments from the same paper pad. The doily goes over the cardbase and I like it. Mothers day is the theme for the Pink Elephant challenge.

Ruusuke / Rosette

Valmistuin itsekin tänä vuonna, tässä on pieni kortti jonka vein työpaikkalle kakun kera asian juhlistamiseksi. Korttipohja on poikkeuksellisen kapea, leimasin siihen Pink Paisleen tekstiä Weathered Wood -musteella. Kakkupaperilla ja nauhanpätkillä sain vähän ruusukemaisen koristeen. Kakkupapereita pyydettiin Stamptacular Sunday haasteessa, ja aihe on vapaa Cute Card Thursday haasteessa.

I graduated myself this year, and this is a little card I took to work with a cake to celebrate. The cardbase is exceptionally narrow, I stamped Pink Paislee script to it with Weathered wood -ink. With pieces of ribbon and a doily I created a sort of rosette. Doilies were asked in the Stamptacular Sunday challenge, and anything goes for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.

Valkoista pitsiä

Ehei, ei blogini ihan kuollut ole. Paljon on tullut kesällä tehtyä, ehkä jutut tulevat syksyn aikana esitellyksikin. Tässä on uusin korttini, kun the Greeting Farmin perjantaihaasteessa pyydetiin kokonaan valkoista korttia. Korttipohjaan tein itse Versamarkerilla pilkkuja, mutta kuvassa kovin heikosti näkyvät. Kuvana Miss Anya Love setin tyttö. Vähän pelkistetty tuli kortista, harkinnassa on vielä lisätä pieniä itse tehtyjä kukkia. Leimattua pyydetään Simonin haasteessa.

Sorry readers, I have been pretty busy during the summer, maybe I'll show them during the fall. All-white was asked on the Greeting Farms Farm Fresh Friday Challenge, so here's my card. The lovely girl is from Miss Anya Love set. I dotted the cardbase, but isn't so visible in the picture. Card seems a little plain, maybe I'll add white punched flowers. Stamping was asked in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

Lintunen pastellinsävyissä

Olen seurannut Shabby Tea Room haastetta kauan ja DT kortit ovat upeita, mutta eivät ole tuntuneet tyyliltäni. Päätin kuitenkin yrittää tähän haasteeseen ja löysinkin sopivan luonnoksen Sketch Saturday haasteesta. Käytin jopa kangaskukkia kortissa, Inkadinkadon lintu on väritetty liituväreillä ja koristeltu helmenpuolikkailla.

After following The Shabby Tea Room challenge for ages, I am entering their challenge! The DT works are fabulous, but haven't felt like my piece of cake, but I decided to try it out with this card. The Sketch Saturday had an inpiring sketch to start with, and I even used fabric flowers for this card. The sweet Inkadinkado bird is coloured with chalks and decorated with pearls :)

Hiljaiseloa

Tammikuu on kulunut nopeasti. Päivä päivältä on valoisampaa, mutta silti minua on vaivannut väsymys aina iltaisin enkä ole askarrelut mitään. Mutta ehkäpä innostus taas löytyy entistä kovempana tauon jälkeen :) Viimein jaksan/ehdin esitellä loppuja joululoman tuotoksia.
Time has flown by fast lately. I have been quite tired lately, and haven't crafted anything. But maybe my mojo returns soon. But I have some things to show you, I made them last year.

Tein sisarelleni lisää silmukkamerkkejä, hän suunnitteli ne itse. Nämä ovat pidempiä, joten ne huomaa helpommin huivia neuloessa. Käytin lasihelmiä, joista osa päästää valoa kauniisti lävitseen (alempi kuva).
My sister was very excited about stich markers, she designed and I made them. They are longer than usually, they are easier to spot now. I used glass beads, so in the second picture you can see some of the better.




Yksi uudenvuoden korttikin on tullut tehtyä, pääosassa Happy New Year Anya. Ihastuin hänen mekkoonsa, harmillista ettei tätä digileimaa tule paljon käytettyä. Kulmassa oleva kakkupaperin palanen on suihkutettu hopeisella spray-maalilla jo vuosia sitten xD
I made a card with Happy New Year Anya. She is quite sweet, I especially like her dress. It's a shame, there isn't much use for her. The corner piece is a doily, I sprayed silver paint to it years ago xD

Herttainen tyttö

Lopputuloksesta tuli varsin herttainen, kevään vihreä ja vaaleanpunainen sopivat kauniisti yhteen. Kortti noudattaa the Sugar Bowl -haasteen luonnosta. Melko viime minuuteille jäi, nyt on ollut aika kiireistä.
At the last minute I'm finally ready with the sketch from the Sugar Bowl. I picked quite gentle colours, but they agree together quite well. My style is fairly simple, those victorian corners by Fiskars are enough, no flowers needed xD

Harjoittelen sisustankin koristelemista. Sydämen muotoisen kakkupaperin ylimenevät osat käänsin sisälle. Tuo norsunluun valkoinen paperi on ohutta kuten kuvasta näkyy.
I decorated the inside of the card too. This is actually one of the first ones ever, I need to practise this more.
