Koristeltu rasia / Map themed box

Päässä löi aluksi hieman tyhjää, kun piti koristella pahvirasia miehelle sopivaksi korurasiaksi. Päädyin tähän hauskaan harmaaseen karttaa esittävään washiteippiin, jota laitoin reunoihin ja vinottain kanteen. Harmaa teema jatkui metallisella "napilla", johon laitoin vähän mustaa nauhaa koristeeksi. Osallistun Less is more haasteeseen.

 I'm not sure Less is More challenge accepts other than card submissions, but I'm still linking them. This is a cardboard box I decorated as a jewelry box for my brother. I used map themed washi tape to the sides and added two diagonally on the top. My metal part is the odd button with piece of black ribbon. Less decorations is more, and the recipient was happy with it too :) 

No onkos tullut kesä ...

No ei ole tullut kesä talven keskelle, lähinnä yllättäen pääsiäinen xD Less is more haasteessa pyydettiin perhettä, ja mieleeni tuli Petteri Kaniini. Kortissa äitikani valmistelee lapsukaisiaan matkaan, väritin kuvan akvarellikynillä. Pidin kortin yksinkertaisena kohokuvioimalla korttipohjan pilkulliseksi ja koristeeksi kuviopaperista leikattu muna taustalle. Pääsiäis-leima on Stampendouksen.

Less is more asked for a family themed card, and I thought of Peter the Rabbit with his family. So excuse me the Easter themed card right after Christmas xD The rabbits are a digital stamp and I coloured them with watercolour pencils. The card is simple with embossed cardbase and an egg shape from decorative paper. 

Kukkaloistoa / Flowers

Inkadinkadoolla on tällainen ihana kukkaleimasetti. Se osoittautui parhaimmaksi valkoisella kohojauheella, ja tuputtamalla mustetta ympärille! Jätin korttiin valkoista tilaa leimata teksti, ja muuten leimasin kukat suoraan korttipohjaan. Värit ovat namuja sävyjä Distress musteista. Osallistun The Pink Elephant ja ensimmäistä kertaa Addicted to Technics haasteisiin.

The stamps are from a gorgeous stamp set by Inkadinkado. The flowers are their best here, embossed with white powder and Distress Ink blended around them. I did this directly on the cardbase and left room for the sentiment. I enter the Pink Elephant and Addicted to Technics challenges.

Toiseen versioon valitsin syksyn värejä Distress musteista. Nämä ovat kirkkaampia ja lopputulos on kirkkaampi. Kortti näyttää vähän paljaalta, organzanauha olisi sopinut tähänkin. Osallistun Less is More haasteeseen.

For my second version I picked some Distress Ink autumn colours. These are brighter and the results weren't so blended as I hoped for. But I like the rich orange of Spiced Marmalade. I enter the Less is More challenge, I hope my card has enough clean and simple style.

Sininen joulu / Blue Christmas

Less is More haasteeseen käy tällä viikolla kaikki, kunhan kortissa on vain yksi kerros. Eli kaiki koristeet ja leimaukset on tehtävä suoraan korttipohjaan. Se ei tuota minulle ongelmia, pikemminkin useamman kuin kahden kerroksen vaatiminen olisi haaste. Löysin joulun alla Panduron pienen kuusileiman ja ihastuin. Tässä kuusi on embossattu kirkkaan ja kultaisen jauheen sekoituksella ja koristeltu puolihelmillä. Pikkuruiset tähdet piirsin itse kultaisella geelikynällä ja teksti on leimattu Versafinen punaisella musteella.

This week anything one layer goes for the Less is More challenge, so this Christmas cards fits in well. The tree is embossed with mixture of clear and gold powders and embellished with half pearls. I drew the stars with gold gel pen and stamped the greeting with red Versafine ink.

Sininen, valkoinen ja punainen / Blue, white and red

Englanninkielisten korttihaasteblogien heinäkuiset sininen, valkoinen ja punainen haasteet eivät ole koskaan olleet mieleeni, mutta väriyhdistelmähän on sopiva joulukorttiin! Puinen punainen porokuvio on löytö Tiimarista, ja sininen korttipohja sai valkoista StazOn mustetta Artemion joulutekstillä. Koristeeksi tein lumihiutaleita leikkurilla kuultopaperista. Koska kuultopaperista näkyy liimat läpi, niihin piti laittaa puolihelmet peittämään liimatäpliä. Voinkin valita tämä väriyhdistelmän Less is more haasteessa.

I'm not into the regular blue+white+red card challenges, which many card card challenges have in the summer. But it looks great in Christmas card, doesn't it? :) My red is the cute reindeer wood figure I found in a local craft shop. I stamped Artemio Christmas script with white StazOn Opaque on dark blue cardstock and decorated with punched vellum snowflakes. Luckily I can pick this color combo in Less is More challenge.

joulutähtönen / poinsettia

Tämä Stampendouksen joulutähti näyttää ihanalta, mutta käytössä osoittautui kauhean vaikeaksi värittää. Tässä yksi onnistuneimpia versioita, kun jaksoin tuputtaa terälehtiin ja lehtiin eri värejä (hankala homma kun ovat niin lähekkäin leimassa). Paljon mutta kortti ei sitten tarvinnutkaan koristeeksi, helmiäisaineella koristelin kukkien keskustat. Kehys on tehty Prima Marketing leimalla ja tekstikin on Stampendouksen. Osallistun Less is more haasteeseen teemalla yksi kerros ja kuva reunan ulkopuolella.

Less is more lets you pick any of their past challenges. I picked one of the firsts, one layer and off the edge. This Poinsettia Silhouette stamp by Stampendous looks gorgeous, but in use turned out a little hard. This is one of the good stampings, when I coloured the flower and leaves with different inks. It wasn't easy with such a detailed image. The frame is made with a Prima Marketing stamp and the Merry Christmas wishes in Finnish is by Stampendous too.

Vauhdin hurmaa / Speed up

Tämän kortin teon aloitin haasteista. Käytin Sketch Saturdayn luonnosta. Koska kuvani sopi Simon Says Stamp ja Less is More haasteisiin, täytyi jälkimmäiseen kortin pysyä korttipohjassa ilman kerroksia. Joten tällainen siitä tuli:

I started this card with the challenges. I used the sketch of Sketch Saturday. My chosen image is suitable for the Simon Says Stamp and Less is more challenge, and I also kept it one layer for the latter challenge. So here's the card:

Kuva on Bentley Bear nalle, joka on ollut saatavilla vain lehden kylkiäisenä. Tämä autokuva on niin suloinen. Ensin epäilin värilliselle kartongille leimaamista, mutta Distress Markereilla värittäessä väri pysyi sävyssään kartongin väristä huolimatta. Taustaleimasin on uusi, merkiltään Peel-Offs. Koristeeksi laitoin nappeja Fussy and Fancy haastetta varten, ja koristetimantteja ja helmiäisliimaa. Pojat ovat poikia Cards for Men haasteessa.

The image is of Bentley Bear (by Adam Pescott) clear stamp series, this one was free with Card making and Papercraft magazine February issue of 2011. I really like the car image, such a cutie! I had to stamp it directly to the card stock, but Distress Markers worked very well with colouring (they keep their colour even on coloured paper). The background stamp is made by Peel-Offs. I added some buttons, gems, and liquid pearls for embellishments. So buttons go for the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge and boys will be boys over at Cards for Men. 

Hento perhosten lento

Olen joskus himoinnut Inkadinkadon perhosjonoa, mutta todennut pystyväni samaan itsekin. Nyt keksin laittaa sen alkamaan tästä toisesta Inkadinkadon leimasta. Kortti on melko yksinkertainen, suoraan hopeakorttipohjaan valkoisella ja värittömällä embossattu - siis erittäin vaikea valokuvattava. Laitoin oikein isot kuvat, että näkyisi paremmin.

I like this butterfly trail by Inkadinkado, but figured that I could make trail myself. Now I made the trail to start from another Inkadinkado stamp. I embossed the butterflies with clear and white embossing powder straight on the silver cardstock - very hard to photograph. I hope the bigger pictures help.

Violettia

Kuva on melko omituinen: taustan vaaleanvihreä on oikeasti valkoista, mutta kortin värit ovat suht oikein silti xD No, ainakin saa ideasta kiinni. Inkadinkadon ihana kuva on leimattu violetilla suoraan korttipohjaan, reunan leimaukset ovat versamarkilla. Kuva ei paljoa koristelua kaivannut, kukkien korostaminen valkoisella geelikynällä oli vähän liikaa. Osallistun Less is more, Challenge up your life ja Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteisiin.

My first card with Inkadinkados Nostalgia stamp set, so sweet stampss :) I stamped the image with violet ink and the images on the edges are with Versamark. I used only some half pearls, the card didn't need anything more. 3 or more of an embellishments was asked in the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, and the simple card goes with Less is more and Challenge up your life challenges this week :)
