Poneja! / My Little Ponys!

Fussy and Fancy Friday haaste pyytää tällä viikolla jotain siivellistä, joten tässä on poneja! Joillain My Little Ponyilla on siivet, eli eikös nekin lasketa siivekkäiksi? Löysin nämä leimat joskus Suomalaisesta Kirjakaupasta ja piti ottaa mukaan. Tein maiseman Stampendouksen ja Artemion leimoilla, kukkaleiman valmistajaa en tiedä.

Fussy and Fancy Friday challenged us to show something with wings, so here are some ponys xD Some My Little Ponys have wings, so they count right? I found some MLP stamps in a book shop, and couldn't leave them there. I made a scene with some Stampendous butterflies, clouds and sun stamps, Artemio forest and unknown flowers. I stitched the paper on the cardbase and covered the sun with glossy accent.

Kerran esittelin Anitan 3D lakan ja Rangerin Glossy Accentin eroja. Tässä vielä tällainen vertailukuva, kuinka Anitan tuotteella päällystetty aurinko on ihan kiva, mutta Glossy Accentillä tehty perhonen on paljon tasaisempi lopputuloksena.

Once I talked about the difference between Anitas 3D Clear Gloss Finish and Rangers Glossy Accent. Here you can see how the sun is covered with Anitas product, but the much smoothier finish on the butterfly was done with Glossy Accent.

Liilaa ja keltaista / Lavender and yellow

Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteen aiheena oli tällä kertaa laventelin liila ja keltainen. Paljoa keltaista ei korttiini tullut, kuviopaperista hieman. Mutta olen tyytyväinen vastaväreillä syntyneeseen harmoniseen korttiin, sopii hyvin vauvalle. Osallistun myös Penny Black and More haasteeseen, kysytty kuvioleikkuria on käytetty kuviopaperin kulmiin. Siilivauvan tuttipulloon lisäsin koholakkaa koristeeksi.

Lavender and yellow are from the colour challenge over at the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge blog. I don't have much of yellow, just on the designer paper. But these colours are hard to mix, so I'm happy with the harmonic result. Very suitable for a baby card you see. I used a punch for the corners of the designer paper, so I also enter the Penny Black and More challenge. I added some Glossy accent to the bottle of cute hedgehog baby.

Romantic hedgehog

Tässä ensimmäisiä kokeilujani Cuttelbugilla. Ostamani Provocraftin pilkkukansio on hieman liian pieni ja korttien alareuna jää ilman koristeluja. Opin kantapään kautta, että jo kohokuvioitua osaa ei voi koneesta vetää läpi, mutta onneksi latistunut kohta on peitettävissä nauhalla. Leimasin Pennyn ihanan siilin suoraan pikkulehtiön ruusupaperille, joka tuo korttiin romanttista tunnelmaa. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Friday ja Penny Black Saturday haasteisiin.

This card is one of my first tries with Cuttlebug. My polka dot embossing folder by Provocraft is too short for my card bases, but I learned I can't put the card through the machine again - it flats some areas. But luckily this time I could cover it up with some ribbon. The ribbon matches the premade little rose paper, on which I stamped the Penny Black hedgehog. The card ended up having romantic atmosphere. Hedgehogs go well with Fussy and fancy Friday challenge this week, and flowery theme is for Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Vauhdin hurmaa / Speed up

Tämän kortin teon aloitin haasteista. Käytin Sketch Saturdayn luonnosta. Koska kuvani sopi Simon Says Stamp ja Less is More haasteisiin, täytyi jälkimmäiseen kortin pysyä korttipohjassa ilman kerroksia. Joten tällainen siitä tuli:

I started this card with the challenges. I used the sketch of Sketch Saturday. My chosen image is suitable for the Simon Says Stamp and Less is more challenge, and I also kept it one layer for the latter challenge. So here's the card:

Kuva on Bentley Bear nalle, joka on ollut saatavilla vain lehden kylkiäisenä. Tämä autokuva on niin suloinen. Ensin epäilin värilliselle kartongille leimaamista, mutta Distress Markereilla värittäessä väri pysyi sävyssään kartongin väristä huolimatta. Taustaleimasin on uusi, merkiltään Peel-Offs. Koristeeksi laitoin nappeja Fussy and Fancy haastetta varten, ja koristetimantteja ja helmiäisliimaa. Pojat ovat poikia Cards for Men haasteessa.

The image is of Bentley Bear (by Adam Pescott) clear stamp series, this one was free with Card making and Papercraft magazine February issue of 2011. I really like the car image, such a cutie! I had to stamp it directly to the card stock, but Distress Markers worked very well with colouring (they keep their colour even on coloured paper). The background stamp is made by Peel-Offs. I added some buttons, gems, and liquid pearls for embellishments. So buttons go for the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge and boys will be boys over at Cards for Men. 

Pupusuukko / Bunny kiss

Tämä Penny Blackin leima on niin suloinen, pidän tällaisista pupuista kovin paljon. Taustapaperin tiput viittaavat pääsiäiseen, jos teema ei muuten käy selväksi. Tekstileiman olen ostanut käytettynä enkä tiedä valmistajaa, leikkasin lopusta pois sanan 'äidille', jotta leimalle on enemmän käyttöä. Kortin innoittajana toimi vanha Clean & Simple stamping luonnos. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Fridayn keväthaasteeseen.

This old Penny Black stamp is so cute, I love the bunny. The sentiment means "a lap full of spring greetings". The chicks of the background paper hints Easter. I was inspired by an old sketch of Clean & Simple stamping. I enter the spring challenge of Fussy and Fancy Friday.

Pieni vasikkainen

Aluksi A Day of Daisies haaste ei houkutellut yhtään, mutta sitten päätinkin tarttua haasteeseen: käyttää kuvaa vasikasta mekossa vintage tyylisessä kortissa pilkkujen kera - eikä se ollutkaan niin vaikeaa! Vasikka on melkoisen söpö ja löysin pilkkupaperiakin varastoistani. Osallistun myös Fussy and Fancy Friday ja Stamptacular Sunday haasteisiin.

At first the challenge over at A Day for Daisies didn't seem appealing, but I decided to really challenge myself: use image of Cow in a dress in style of vintage and polka dots - and it wasn't so hard as I thought! The image is actually very sweet and I found some polka dot paper from my stash. I added some girly embellishments. Butterfly theme was asked in the Stamptacular Sunday challenge. I have punched butterflies and string for the Fussy and Fancy Challenge.

Juokse porosein

Tänään on Nuutin päivä ja meiltäkin on kuusi jo viety pihalle. Mutta joulukortit eivät lopu xD Ajattelin että Nuutin nimipäivään mennessä olisi, mutta tämä on toiseksi viimeinen. Käytin Inkadinkadoon ihanaa poroa ja korttipohjaan leimasin valkoisella musteella Artemion Impressionist Christmasin joulutoivotustekstiä. Osallistun Stampavien, Fussy and Fancy Fridayn, ABC Christmas ja Simon Says Stamp haasteisiin.

This is second last Christmas card to post, in case you are getting tired of them. I used the pretty reindeer stamp from Inkadinkado, and stamped Artemios Christmas greetings on the cardstock. I have winter theme for Stampavie and more, anything goes for ABC Christmas challenge, and snowing for Fussy and Fancy Friday. With spotty snowflakes I can enter also the Simon Says Stamp Challenge xD

Tein tämän kortin Jehkottaren esittelemällä Stampinbackin tekniikkalla, mutta onko se varmasti heidän keksimänsä tekniikka? Ettei löytyisi vaikka Timin kirjasta (The Compendium of Curiosities)? En sitä omista, niin en voi tarkistaa.

In this techinique you stamp your image with black StazOn on glossy paper and let it dry. Then you can apply Distress inks over it, and because the cardstock is glossy, it won't dry for a while. So play around and remove colour with water using different appliers. You can eve use toothbrush for splashes like I did in this card. Do you know the name for this technique? I suspect it could be in The Compendium of Curiosities, but I don't have the book.

Merellinen tunnelma

Bongasin Tiimarin alesta tälläistä ihanaa meriaiheista paperia ja se pääsikin heti korttiin. Kuva on A Day for Daisies digitaalinen leima, ja kokeilin ekaa kertaa paper piecing tekniikkaa digikuvalla. Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteessa pyydettiinkiin kokeilemaan uutta tekniikkaa. Cutie Sunday haasteessa pyydettiin jättämään kortti tekstittömäksi.

I found this fabulous marine paper and immediately used it in a card. I coloured an digital image from A Day for Daisies, except the shell is paper pieced. This was the first time I paper pieced an digital image, and trying a new technique was asked in the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. In Cutie Sunday Challenge text is forbidden.

A Day for Daisien omassa haasteessa pyydettiin tekstuuria: paperissa on valmiiksi glitteriä, simpukat ovat kolmiulotteisia ja pahvikiekuran päällystin glossy accentilla. Lisäksi osallistun Creatalicious haasteeeseen, jossa tässä kuussa kaikki käy.
A Day for Daisies challenge asked for texture: the paper is glittered, the shells are dimensional and I covered the chipboard scroll is covered with glossy. This month in Creatalicious Challenge anything goes.

Violettia

Kuva on melko omituinen: taustan vaaleanvihreä on oikeasti valkoista, mutta kortin värit ovat suht oikein silti xD No, ainakin saa ideasta kiinni. Inkadinkadon ihana kuva on leimattu violetilla suoraan korttipohjaan, reunan leimaukset ovat versamarkilla. Kuva ei paljoa koristelua kaivannut, kukkien korostaminen valkoisella geelikynällä oli vähän liikaa. Osallistun Less is more, Challenge up your life ja Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteisiin.

My first card with Inkadinkados Nostalgia stamp set, so sweet stampss :) I stamped the image with violet ink and the images on the edges are with Versamark. I used only some half pearls, the card didn't need anything more. 3 or more of an embellishments was asked in the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, and the simple card goes with Less is more and Challenge up your life challenges this week :)

Lintunen

Löysin palasia kiiltäväpintaista pahvia, joten piti päästä kokeilemaan mitä kaikkea sillä voi tehdä. Erään youtube-videon perusteella kokeilin tällaista haamumaista kuvaa: leimasin kuvat versamarkilla kiiltäväpintaiselle pahville ja sen kuivuttua kunnolla levitin distressin inkillä väriä. Vähän aikaa sai hieroa väriä, mutta kaunis kuva paljastui :)
Tämä Inkadinkadon lintunen taitaa olla lempileimasimeni, se on niin ihana! Laitoin korttiin koristeeksi Inchie-leimasimia. Kartonki on leimattu myös Versamarkilla. Reunustin kuvat vellumilla, vaikka se ei juuri kuvassa näy. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteeseen embossauksella.

I found couple of pieces of gloss-sided white cardstock and wanted try what possibilities it has. I did basic embossing according to this video. I even heated to image to make sure it's dry and waited over night. At first it didn't look good, but more distressing did the trick and the images are so pretty! This Inkadinkado birdie is my favorite stamp :) I tried out my new inchie stamps as embellishments on a card. The background is also stamped with Versamark. I take part in Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge (embossing).
