Kevätkukkia / Spring flowers

Löysin tämän ihanan Panduro Hobbyn Sinooperista (silloin kun sellaisia liikkeitä vielä oli). Kuva pääsee parhaiten oikeuksiinsa jauheella kohokuvioituna, tällä kertaa korostin kuvaa vihreällä Distress musteella. Koristeet on stanssattu saksalaisen Whiff of Joyn stanssilla. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Friday haasteeseen.

Fussy and Fancy Friday card challenge this week is to show spring flowers. Mine are stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. The beautiful stamp is by Panduro Hobby and I highlighted the embossing with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I kept the decorations simple with Whiff of Joy scroll die cuts and embossing the cardbase.

Toinen korttini ei ole yhtä onnistunut. Vaaleanpunainen pahvi on kohokuvioitu ihanalla Cuttlebugin taskulla, mutta yritykseni korostaa kuvioita valkoisella akryylimaalilla ei oikein toiminut. Näyttää kuvassa vielä sotkuisemmalta kuin oikeasti.

My other card is not so successful. The cardstock is embossed with a pretty Cuttlebug embossing folder but my attempts to highlight the embossing with white acrylic paint looks really messy. It looks prettier in nature, I promise.

Harmoniaa / Harmonious card

Tästä kortista tuli kovin mieleiseni. Leimasin Panduron ihanan kuvan ja käsittelin valkoisella kohojauheella. Tuputin vaaleanpunaista Distress mustetta leikattuani sen stanssilla muotoon. Korttipohja on perusvalkoinen, joka sai pilkkunsa kohokuviointitaskusta Cuttlebugilla. Löytyi vielä sopiva nauhakin. Osallistun Creative Knockouts haasteeseen.

I love how this card of mine turned out :) I stamped and embossed the Panduro image with white embossing powder. I die cut it to a shape and coloured with Distress ink and decorated with few halfpearls. The cardbase is simply white and went thourgh my Cuttlebug in a polka dot embossing folder. I even found the perfect ribbon to match the card. So my line is stamp-embossing-die cut in the Creative Knockouts challenge.

Kukkaloistoa / Flowers

Inkadinkadoolla on tällainen ihana kukkaleimasetti. Se osoittautui parhaimmaksi valkoisella kohojauheella, ja tuputtamalla mustetta ympärille! Jätin korttiin valkoista tilaa leimata teksti, ja muuten leimasin kukat suoraan korttipohjaan. Värit ovat namuja sävyjä Distress musteista. Osallistun The Pink Elephant ja ensimmäistä kertaa Addicted to Technics haasteisiin.

The stamps are from a gorgeous stamp set by Inkadinkado. The flowers are their best here, embossed with white powder and Distress Ink blended around them. I did this directly on the cardbase and left room for the sentiment. I enter the Pink Elephant and Addicted to Technics challenges.

Toiseen versioon valitsin syksyn värejä Distress musteista. Nämä ovat kirkkaampia ja lopputulos on kirkkaampi. Kortti näyttää vähän paljaalta, organzanauha olisi sopinut tähänkin. Osallistun Less is More haasteeseen.

For my second version I picked some Distress Ink autumn colours. These are brighter and the results weren't so blended as I hoped for. But I like the rich orange of Spiced Marmalade. I enter the Less is More challenge, I hope my card has enough clean and simple style.

Neiti Anya laukun kanssa / A Miss Anya with a bag

Tämän kortin teko alkoi jouluisasti embossaamalla valkoisia lumihiutaleita ympäri korttia. Väriksi ei kuitenkaan valikoitunut mikään perinteinen jouluväri, vaan liila. Keskelle tuli yksi Miss Anya neideistä ja koristeeksi vain muutama tekotimantti. Silti väittäisin tätä joulukortiksi, vaikkeivat kaikki uskokaan xD Osallistun the Greeting Farmin perjantaihaasteeseen.

I started this card by embossing white snowflakes around the cardbase. But I didn't accent them with a traditional Christmas color, but with violet. The center of the card is a Miss Anya and only embellishments are couple of fake diamonds. I still call it Christmas card, although everyone don't believe me xD I'll enter this card to TGFs FFF challenge, where embossing was asked.

Helmiäinen juhlamekko / Pearly dress

Voi ei, vuosi lähenee vaihtumista, mutta paljon on viime vuoden juttuja näyttämättä blogissa. Aloitetaan vaikka tästä kortista, jonka tein jo helmikuussa. Tein tämän helmiäisenä hohtavan ihanuuden ystävälle valmistumisen kunniaksi. Kaunis kortin muoto on valmis korttipohja, johon embossasin Inkadinkadoon eleganttia kukkaa valkoisella ja Tumbled glass -mustetta vedin muuten. Ruskealla Versafinella leimattu Inkadinkadoon mekko näyttää kultaiselta kermanvärisellä helmiäispaperilla. Osallistun Dutch Dare ja Simon Says Stamp haasteisiin.

Oh no, the year 2012 is nearly ended, and I have so many things to show. Lets start with this card from February. I made it for a friend to celebrate her graduation. The beautiful shape is premade cardbase, I embossed the elegant Inkadinkado flower and distressed Tumbled glass Distress Ink all over it. The Inkadinkado dress was stamped on pearly paper with brown Versafine, and it looks golden. I enter the celebration challenge of Dutch Dare, and anything goes for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

No onkos tullut joulu

Tässä yksinkertainen joulukortti, jonka tein aikaa sitten. Inkadinkadon enkeli on embossattu, vähän valkoista mustetta levitin ja leimasin Versamarkilla kuusia. Osallistun Challenge up your life ja ABC Christmas haasteisiin.

Today I have one layer Christmas card to show. The Inkadinkado angel is embossed and the some wood images are stamped on the bottom of the card. The sentiment is a sticker and says "Merry Christmas" in Finnish. I enter Challenge up your life and ABC Christmas challenges.

Hento perhosten lento

Olen joskus himoinnut Inkadinkadon perhosjonoa, mutta todennut pystyväni samaan itsekin. Nyt keksin laittaa sen alkamaan tästä toisesta Inkadinkadon leimasta. Kortti on melko yksinkertainen, suoraan hopeakorttipohjaan valkoisella ja värittömällä embossattu - siis erittäin vaikea valokuvattava. Laitoin oikein isot kuvat, että näkyisi paremmin.

I like this butterfly trail by Inkadinkado, but figured that I could make trail myself. Now I made the trail to start from another Inkadinkado stamp. I embossed the butterflies with clear and white embossing powder straight on the silver cardstock - very hard to photograph. I hope the bigger pictures help.

Ruusuista

Tässä kortissa halusin kokeilla Prima Marketing -firman uusia leimojani. Tai no, ruusu ja kehys on hankittu jo viime syksynä, mutta en keksinyt miten käyttää niitä. Ruusu ja kehys on leimattu versamarkilla, embossattu värittömällä kohojauheella, ja väriksi on levitetty chipped saphire distress mustetta. Pitsikin on embosattu värittömällä kohojauheella, mutta otti kivasti väriä korttipohjasta :) Taustan ruusut on leimattu versamarkilla, teksti aakkosleimoilla ja koristeena vain pari puolihelmeä.
Osallistun Simon Says Stampin embossing haasteeseen, A Spoon Full of Sugarin juhlimis- ja Stampavien syntymäpäivähaasteisiin. Kyseessä on synttärikortti, vaikka kävisi varmaan moneen muuhunkin tlanteeseen.

In this birthday card I wanted to try out my Prima Marketing stamps, they are so lovely :) I stamped the rose and frame with Versamark, embossed with clear embossing powder, and coloured with Distress Ink. I also embossed the lace with clear embossing powder, but it got beautiful color from the cardstock :) I stamped the roses on the background with Versamark, and the only embellishments are couple of half pearles. I take part in challenges of Simon Says Stamp (embossing), A Spoon Full of Sugar (celebrations) and Stampavie (birthday).

Kahvia ja kermaa

Innostuin pitkästä aikaa Whiff of Joyn haasteesta, kun siellä pyydettiin käyttämään paper piecing tekniikkaa. Hääkakusta tulee upea, kun sen leikkaa helmiäispaperista. Käytin inspiraationa jo menneen Whiff of Joy haasteen luonnosta ja värit otin Simon Says Stamp haasteesta. Värihaasteet eivät oikein ole alaani ja pyydettyistä väreistä, kahvista ja kermasta, ensimmäinen tuntui kummalta valinnalta hääkorttiin, joten päätin haastaa itseni. Ihastuin jo kuvaa värittäessä kahvin värisiin ruusuihin xD En käyttänyt kuviopapereita ollenkaan, vaan leimasin korttipohjaan Versamarkilla ja vintage photolla ja koristelin niitä valkoisella ja kultaisella helmiäisliimalla.

Whiff of Joy Challenge asked for paper piecing technique this week, and I have a perfect stamp for that! This wedding cake is so pretty, when it's paper pieced from pearlescent paper (if this the right term in english for the paper I used...). I challenged myself to use colours from Simon Says Challenge: coffee and cream. They felt odd at first, but I fell in love with coffee coloured roses xD I didn't use designer paper at all. The cardstock is stamped with Versamark and vintage photo, and decorated with pearl and gold liquid pearls.

Vitivalkoinen

Simon Says haasteessa pyydettiin valkoista joulukorttia, joten tässä omani. Tein kortin Sketch Saturdayn luonnoksen mukaan. Vellumille embossatusta kuvasta tuli ihanan herkkä, mutta erittäin vaikea kuvattava.
Simon Said all white, and that's what I did :) I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Problems appeared when trying to photograph this card. Embossing on vellum looks so delicate, but hard to photograph.

Näkeekö siitä, että kyseessä on Inkadinkadon poro? Koristelin kukkavanan tekemällä pisaroita helmiäisliimalla.
Can you see, it's Inkadinkados reindeer? I decorated the trail with liquid pearl.

On tässä toivotuskin, vaan en tiedä ottaako valokuvasta mitään selvää.
I made a sentiment on vellum too, but I don't know can you read it in the photograph.

Ensimmäiset joulukortit

Tämä kortti on ollut kesken viikkokausia xD Ensimmäinen yritys meni pieleen, kun laitoin nuottiviivastoa taustalle, eivätkä kuviot erottuneet juurikaan. Sain viimein päätettyä tehdä ne uudestaan ja kohotarroilla laittaa päälle. Leimat ovat Inkadinkadoon miniseteistä Christmas Eve, Holiday Favorites ja Winter. Osallistun One Stop Craft haasteeseen, jossa teemana on embossaus. 

Making the paper wasn't success at the first time. Stamp images were ruined by staves in the background, and it tooks to decide what to do with it. I finally made inchies again and attached them with mounting pads. This goes with embossing theme of The One Stop Craft Challenge.

Inspiraatio tähän korttiin toiseen löytyy Sanden ensimmäisestä DT-kortista, piti itsekin päästä kokeilemaan nuottiviivastoa näkyvämmin joulukorttiin. Kortin rakentaminen oli hiukan hankalaa. Ensin embossasin ruskealle paperille paikan leimakuvalle, sitten leimasin nuottiviivaston. Liimasin paperin korttipohjaan, ja sitten embossasin Inkadinkadon Christmas Silhouettes setistä enkelin.
I was inspired to make this card by Sande, I wanted to try stave on the bacground. I masked a place for the angel before stamping the stave. After that I clued the paper to the cardbase, and embossed Christmas Silhouette Angel.

Nauhat piti sitoa kymmenen kertaa, ennen kuin olin tyytyväinen xD Mutta nyt rusetti näyttääkin ihanan runsaalta. Otan kortillani osaa Secret Crafter Saturday haasteeseen, jonka teemana on kultainen ja punainen.
Those ribbons were hard to tie, I wasn't happy with it until about the tenth time xD Take sticker says "Merry Christmas" in Finnish. I take part in Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, because they asked for the combination of red and gold.
