Munan maalausta / Egg-painting

Kuinka ihanaa onkaan tehdä pääsiäiskortteja näin suloisella leimalla! Penny Blackia tämäkin. Pupujen värittäminen ja varjostaminen on haastavaa, mutta yritin akvarellikynillä taas. Poikkeuksellisesti laitoin kukkia koristeeksi, niitä minun korteissani korteissani harvemmin näkyy. Osallistun Penny Black Saturdayn haasteeseen.

How delightful it is to make Easter cards with such a pretty stamp! It's a wood block stamp by Penny Black. I find colouring the bunnies a bit difficult, I used watercolour crayons. Exceptionally I embellished the card with flowers, they aren't often seen on my cards. I enter the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Pääsiäispupu / Easter bunny

Suloinen Penny Blackin pupu on cling-leimasin, jota lainasin eräältä ystävältäni. Väritin pupun Distress Markereilla ja akvarellipuuväreillä. Kortin jätin melko yksinkertaiseksi antamaan tilaa pupulle. Osallistun Penny Black Saturday haasteeseen.

The cute bunny is a Penny Black cling stamp I borrowed from a friend. I coloured him/her with watercolour crayons and Distress Markers. I left the card quite simple to give the bunny all the focal point. I enter the Penny Black Saturday challenge with this card.

Tageja

Penny Black Saturday haastaa tekemään tässä kuussa jotain muuta kuin kortteja. Tein melko yksinkertaisia tageja leimaamalla Penny Blackin leimoilla ja värittämällä Distress Markereilla. Tällaisia syntyy tarvittaessa nopeasti, kun on tarvetta pienelle tagille.

Penny Black Saturday challenge this month is to make something else than a card. I made quite simple tags with Penny Black stamps and colouring with Distress Markers. These are quick to make, when one is need of a tag.

Siilihalaus / Hedgehog hug

Tämä valloittava halauskuva on Penny Blackilta tietysti. Kortissa yhdistyvät vaaleanruskea ja punainen ruusukuvioinen kuultopaperi (Tiimarista?), mutta jotain siitä jäi puuttumaan. Ala reunan sydämet on leimattu Priman ruusutaustaleimalla sydämen muotoisen aukon läpi vesileimamusteella Versamarkilla, mutta ne ehkä olisivat saaneet olla näkyvämpiä. Osallistumpa kuitenkin Penny Black Saturday haasteeseen.

The sweetest hug image ever is by Penny Black and I accompanied them with a piece of rose vellum. The bottom hearts are masked and then stamped with rose background by Prima with Versamark. I like the combination of brown and the red rose paper, but this card still feels like it need something. Maybe the bottom hearts should have been more visible. Anyway, anything goes for the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Neulomisystävät / Knitty friends

Penny Black Saturdayn kuukausittainen haaste koski tällä kertaa ystväyyttä. Kortistani tuli suloisen vaaleanpunainen Papermanian paperilla ja kukilla, hauska nappikoriste on äitini varastoa. Leimakuva on Penny Blackin, jouluinen A gift for you. Mutta neulominen on ajankohtaista muutenkin kuin jouluna, joten oma leimani teki tuttavuutta mattoveitsen kanssa...

Penny Black Saturday challenge for this month was friendship. I used Papermania products for this card, paper and flower. The decorative strip was made with Memory Box die Tessatina border, and the cute button is from my mothers stash. You may wonder about my image, it is Penny Blacks Christmas stamp A Gift For You. Finally a beautiful knitting themed stamp :) But knitting isn't just for Christmas, so I'm afraid my stamp got acquainted with a craft knife...

Clean & simple sketch #8

Hiljattain vietin askarteluviikonloppua hyvän ystäväni kanssa. Ideoin meille haasteen: valittiin luonnos (vanha Clean & simple stamping blogista) ja leima (Daisy Swing Penny Blackin akryylisetistä), ja tehtiin näillä leima. Kuinka erilaisia kortteja syntyikään!

A while ago I had a craft time with a friend of mine. I arranged us a challenge: we picked a card sketch (an old one from Clean & Simple stamping), and a stamp (Daisy Swing by Penny Black from a transparent set) and made cards. I love how different they turned out to be!

Keksin uutta käyttöä stanssillekin, kun käytinkin sitä kulmien leikkaamiseen. Taustapaperi teki kortistani melko pinkin, mutta ystäväni tekikin raikkaamman kortin.

I ended up making an extraordinary use of my die by cutting corners with it. My card turned out somewhat pink, while my friend had more fresh and summery look.

Siilivauva / Hedgehog baby

Vauvakortti vaihteeksi, uudet asiat ovatkin aiheena Penny Black Saturday haasteessa. Tämä Penny Blackin siilivauva on kovin söpö, leikkasin kuvan reunatkin kukan muotoon stanssilla. Muu kortti saikin olla vähän yksinkertaisempi, käytin lähinnä hempeää vaaleanpunaista ja Distress musteella tehtyä beigeä.

Cute little hedgehog on hammock is one of my favourite stamps by Penny Black. I even cut the edges of the image to be flower with die. The rest of the card is a bit simpler, I mainly used pink cardstock, punches and Vintage photo Distress Ink. New things are asked at the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Koristelin pari yksityiskohtaa värittömällä koholakalla. Kuvan reunat saivat vähän liikaa mustetta, mutta eipä sille asialle enää minkään voi.

I decorated some details with Glossy accent. I think I inked the edges of the image too much, but nothing can be done by now.

Romantic hedgehog

Tässä ensimmäisiä kokeilujani Cuttelbugilla. Ostamani Provocraftin pilkkukansio on hieman liian pieni ja korttien alareuna jää ilman koristeluja. Opin kantapään kautta, että jo kohokuvioitua osaa ei voi koneesta vetää läpi, mutta onneksi latistunut kohta on peitettävissä nauhalla. Leimasin Pennyn ihanan siilin suoraan pikkulehtiön ruusupaperille, joka tuo korttiin romanttista tunnelmaa. Osallistun Fussy and Fancy Friday ja Penny Black Saturday haasteisiin.

This card is one of my first tries with Cuttlebug. My polka dot embossing folder by Provocraft is too short for my card bases, but I learned I can't put the card through the machine again - it flats some areas. But luckily this time I could cover it up with some ribbon. The ribbon matches the premade little rose paper, on which I stamped the Penny Black hedgehog. The card ended up having romantic atmosphere. Hedgehogs go well with Fussy and fancy Friday challenge this week, and flowery theme is for Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Suloinen suukko / Sweet snuggle

Joskus kokeilin sellaista tekniikkaa, jossa paperiin pistellään reikiä neulalla. Tämä sydän on sellaisesta kokeilusta peräisin, aika ihana se on. Parani vielä tällä suloisella Penny Blackin siilipariskunnalla. Taustalle leimasin yksinkertaista kuviota, ettei liian romanttinen kortti tulisi. Nauha on aivan ihana suloisine pilkkuineen ja reunoineen, olen saanut sen kaukaiselta ystävältä. Osallistun Penny Black Saturdayn haasteeseen.

I once tried a technique, where images are created by picking needle on to paper. Sorry, don't remember the name for it anymore, but this is the heart I made like that back then. It's even cuter with this kissing Penny Black hedgehog couple. I coloured them with watercolour crayons. The ribbon is precious to me, it has so cute white polka dots and lovely lacing hem, and I got it from a friend far away. I enter the Penny Black Saturday challenge, they asked for a card for someone special.

Cake Dance

Penny Black Lauantai -haasteessa pyydetään jotain uutta uuden vuoden kunniaksi. Minun uutuuteni on tämä Penny Blackin leima Cake Dance! Tämä on ensimmäinen kortti tällä suloisella leimalla. Ilmapallon ja liekin koristelin glossy accentilla. Kulmaleimasin on myös Penny Blackin, osan tähdistä väritin Picket Fence Distress Markerilla.

Something new is asked on the Penny Black Saturday challenge. My new is the PB stamp Cake Dance! I always wanted it, the hedgehogs are so sweet dancing around the cake. This is my first card using it. The corner stamp is also by Penny Black, I coloured some of the stars with Picket Fence Distress Marker. The balloon and fire got some glossy accent, so they're glazed.

Tiukuja / Jingle bells

Nämä Penny Blackin siilet on leimattu kaverin leimalla, kiitosterveiset hänelle :) Olen kokenut kuvan hankalaksi, kun siihen on tullut vain ruskeita siilejä ja keltaisia tiukuja. Selatessa Dovecraftin paperikkoa, huomasin tällaisen kulkuspaperin. Se onkin juuri sopiva pari tälle kuvalle, johon tulee eloa eri väirisllä tiu'uilla. Väritin akvarellikynillä ja Distress Markereilla sekaisin. Teksin valmistajaa en tiedä. Osallistun Penny Black Lauantain jouluhaasteeseen.

I have found this Penny Black image hard to use on cards, with only colours being brown hedgies and yellow Christmas bells. I flipped through Dovecraft Christmas papers and found this one with colourful bells, and realised how great it would be with this image! Now I love the image :) I coloured it with aquarell watercolour pencils and Distress Markers. Christmas cards are asked in Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Suloinen kevät / Sweet spring

 Innostuin vanhasta Skipping Stones Desing luonnoksesta, ja  kokeilin ensimmäistä kertaa lippunauhan tekoa. Käyttöön myös pääsi pakasterasiapakkauksessa pehmusteena ollut ruskea pahvi, joka näytti mielestäni kehykseltä.

I was inspired by an old Skipping Stones Design sketch, and tried making bunting for the first time. I also included a brown rectangle, that was padding in a plastic food container package.

Kuvaksi valitsin korttiin Penny Blackin pupun, ja kehykseksi Tiimarin valmiin pikkutagin. Pakasterasiasta peräisin olevaan pahvikehykseen leimasin mustalla vähän Prima Marketing kukkasia koristeeksi. Lippunauhaan leimasin sanan 'kevät' ja keksinkin epätavallisen tavan sitoa liput. Osallistun Penny Black Saturday ja Cute Card Thursday haasteisiin.

This is the finished card. I coloured the cute Penny Black bunny with watercolour pencils. I used a ready-made paper tag to frame the image, and stamped some Prima Marketing flowers on the I found an extraordinary way to tie the bunting, it spells 'spring' in Finnish. I enter the Penny Black Saturday and Cute Card Thursday challenges.

Lumihiutaleessa

Taas pikapostaus kortista. Olen leikannut lumihiutaleen korttipohjan kanteen jo vuosia sitten, mutta jotenkin tyssäsi aikoinaan siihen. Nyt leimasin Penny Blackin luistelevan siilin lumihiutaleeseen ja koristelin kortin leimaamalla Inkadinkadon lumihiutaleita ja sävyttämällä korttia sinisillä ja harmaalla Distress musteella. Tykkään lopputuloksesta :) Osallistun Penny Black Saturday ja All That Scraps haasteisiin.

Penny Black Saturday asked not to use pattern paper this week, I assume that self-made is alright. I drew the snowflake on cardbase, cut it out and put dark blue cardstock behind. The PB hedgehog was stamped directly to cardstock and coloured. I decorated the card by stamping Inkadinkado snowflakes and distressing with blue and grey Distress Inks. I like the look of this card :)

I also enter challenge of All That Scraps (sells PB stamps, but don't have this one in stock). If the image doesn't qualify, please let me know why!

Ensimmäiset kuusipuut

Olen saanut muutaman joulukortinkin aikaiseksi. Kuvat eivät kyllä tee yhtään oikeutta niille, nämä ovat vielä hätäisesti ja lampun valossa otettu xD Piti viime minuutilla kuvata, että ehdin ottamaan osaa Penny Black Saturdayn haasteeseen. Vihreää ja kuusia pyydettiin, muuta ei tosin vihreäksi tullut kuin kuuset.

I made my cards for Penny Black Saturday Challenge well in advance, but realised 12 minutes before the challenge closing, that my cards weren't photograped! So the pictured aren't good, but I did little magic to the yellow. 

Tämä kuva syntyi, kun hypistelin Papermanian joulupapereita - tekstipaperi näytti sopivalta, että siihen voisi vaikka värittää leimatun kuvan! Olen viehättynyt yksinkertaisesta tyylistä, joten muita papereita ei korttiin sopinut. Ensin leimasin Artemion kuusten reunat vihreällä kuvaan ja sitten yritin keksiä jotain taustalle - keksin leimata loput kuusesta versamarkilla reunalle! Vähän kikkailua vaati, mutta hauska efekti. Penny Black Allsorts haasteeseenkin osallistun.

I bought the Papermanias A Silent Night paper pad, and this light paper with text look good to color on! So I stamped my image right on it and coloured it. The text shows a little, but I don't mind. First I just stamped the tree branches on the edges, afterwards tried stamping the rest of the trees in the background with Versamark! I like this look :) I also enter the Penny Black Allsorts challenge with this card.

Halusin leikkiä vielä lisää Artemion kuusilla ja näin mielessä tällaisen näkymän. Ensin leimasin suloisen siilin ja sitten kuuset. Inkadinkadon lumihiutalevana muistuttaa jotenkin revontulia, eikä kortissa näytä niin kummalta kuin pelkäsin. Leimasin pieniä kuusia taivaanrantaankin, taivas ja lumikinokset on väritetty distress musteilla ja musteenlevittimellä. Lisäsin vähän kimalletta (Jehkon tapaan) luistinradan elävöittämiseen. Kortti on tehty yhdestä paperikerroksesta, joten voin osallistua Allsortsin haasteeseen. Lumihiutaleita pyydettiin Charisma Cardzin haasteessa.

I wanted to something more with Artemio trees and saw this scene in my mind. Penny Blacks little hedgehog was perfect for this scene! I stamped and coloured him, stamped the trees, embossed Inkadinkado snowflake trail, coloured the sky with Distress Ink (Chipped Saphire) & stamped little trees, and coloured the snow banks with Distress Ink (Tumbled glass). I used some glitter to make it look more like ice. The sentiment is a outline sticker on vellum piece, and it means Merry Christmas in Finish :) I also enter Allsorts and Charisma Cardz challenges.

Keväistä

Tämä kortti valmistui itse asiassa jo keväällä, mutta postaamatta jäänyt. Iso leimakuva tuotti vähän vaikeuksia, mutta sopiva luonnos löytyi Mojo Monday arkistosta. Leimakuvan kukat saivat helmiäisliimaa keskustoiksi ja vesi hohdetta glossy accentilla. Tämä väriyhdistelmä, vaaleansininen, ruskea, pinkki ja vihreä, on yllättävän kiva. Voi, kun tuo x-cutin perhonen on taas kerran niin ihana!

I made this card in the spring, but haven't posted it before. I found a suitable sketch for a big image from the archives of Mojo Monday. The color combination of light blue, light pink, spring green and brown is quite nice :) I embellished the card with liquid pearl for the flowers, glossy accent for the water, and a cute butterfly!

Osallistun Penny Black Saturday haasteeseen, jossa juhlitaan haasteen kolmatta syntymäpäivää ;) Haasteessa pyydettiin otuksia, kuten tätä siiliä. Tämä leimakuva, Tender Shower, on itse asiassa ensimmäinen Penny Blackin leima, johon ihastuin! Vieläkään en leimaa ole hankkinut, mutta olen tämän kuvan saanut Sandelta. Tällä onkin hyvä osallistua Penny Black Allsorts haasteeseen, jossa pyydettiin käyttämään Penny Blackin lempileimaansa.

Actually this Penny Black stamp, the Tender shower, is my first love of Penny Black stamps! So this card is very suitable for the favorite stamp challenge of Penny Black Allsorts and the birthday challenge of Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

PB Saturday 100. haaste

Penny Black Saturday 100. haasteen luonnoksesta tuli heti mieleen yksi uusimmista leimoistani, pienen pieni siili joka kantaa kukkaa päänsä päällä. Leima tosin sopi vain luonnoksen peilikuvaan, mutta saahan niinkin tehdä. Siitä siis lähti tämän kortin toteuttaminen. Kortin tekeminen vain tuotti paljon päävaivaa tällä kertaa, itse asiassa koko viikoksi - siksi olenkin näin viime tingassa.

The sketch of the 100th Penny Black Saturday challenge seemed to be calling for that little hedgehog with one flower, at least in my mind. I had to mirror the sketch. A simple card for a change.

Talven ihmemaa

At last minute I'm taking part in Penny Black's Saturday Challenge with this my version of Winter Wonderland. Sketch is from Lili of the Valley challenge. I can't remember where those papers and snowflakes are from, but I used Fiskars punches. 
Talvinen joulukortti pariin haasteeseen. Pitäisi tehdä näitä enemmän vielä kun ehtii.

Onnitteluruusu, olkaa hyvä

Tämä tyylikäs kortti perustuu Our Creative Cornerin malliin ja koristeet täyttävät Penny Blackin haasteen vaatimukset. Idea paperiruusun laittamisesta leimatun päälle tähän kuvaan syntyi jo useampi viikko sitten, mutta nyt pääsin viimein toteuttamaan :)
Fabulous, but simple sketch is from Our Creative Corner. That white flower was so perfect to replace the stamped one, that I will use this idea again. The other flower is to complete Penny Black Saturday Challenges week 59s recipe: 3 Ribbons, 2 Flowers and 1 Pin/Charm. Pin is after congratulations= onnea.

This card is I was inspired by Mojo Mondays this weeks (#96) sketch. Penny Blacks current Saturday Challenge requires something "soft and sweet". This sweet stamp (Penny Black: For A Spin) isn't mine, I have gotten this picture in exchange. Paper from Daisy & Dandelions Picnic Patch doesn't have flowers on it - I stamped those flowers there. Ribbon is from a blogcandy.

Kesä mielessä

A Spoon full of Sugar challenge vaati jotain kesäistä ja tämä Penny Blackin leima tuli heti mieleeni. Samalla osallistuin pariin muuhunkin haasteeseen.
This card is based on a sketch from Penny Black Saturday Challenge, summery theme from A Spoon Full of Sugar and using just two colors from ABC Challenge. Green and lilac are so beautiful together. There are pink and blue in the flowers, but I hope that's okay. For a change borders are wider than usually. I used tiny embellishments, but card hardly needed any.
